Signing up to the Industry Ready Online Program in 2023 was the best decision I made.

In 2022 I was fortunate enough to attend the Bud course whilst still living in Adelaide. I had no prior knowledge or skills when it came to flowers - but it made no difference because Vanessa was so accommodating and understanding. 

I enjoyed the course so much that I decided to make a complete career change - from diesel mechanic / truck driver - to florist. As I was no longer residing in Adelaide in 2023, I was so lucky that the program became available online! 

Studying online was convenient, I was able to have control over which day of the week was flower day. On top of that, it granted me with a bit of creative freedom when it came to picking seasonal flowers / colours, etc. 

Every week I looked forward to “flower day.” Every week was something different, at times it was challenging, but it was always rewarding. 

You get to learn so much about the art of floral design, from weddings to funerals and everything in between, whimsical, classical, modern, eco-friendly, quoting, pricing, marketing and so much more. It was actually crazy at the end of the course to look back and see how much more confident and comfortable I’d become and just how much you learn over the course of the program!

The best part about doing it online - if something doesn’t make sense, you can just re-watch the instructional video. 

With all the valuable tools and knowledge available from Vanessa and Adelaide Floristry School I feel confident in owning and running my own business as a florist. 

I can’t recommend this program enough to anyone who’s thinking of making the leap and becoming a florist themselves. And I know it sounds cliche, but if a truck driving diesel mechanic can do it, then it’s achievable for anyone!
